November 2017, Tshwane - The new wave of sound is here to blow up the local music scenery. The swift landing of a gutsy rapper, vocalist & songwriter LESIBA  is to breathe fresh air into the mainstream music. Born Bradley Lesiba Kekana in Mosesetjane Village in Mokopane - Limpopo; Lesiba's sound is a Afri-Soul-Hop which is a distinctive experimental fusion of African tribal sound and a dash of a new age township-come-urban culture of story-telling.

Lesiba grew up surrounded by a family Jazz band. He later joined the band as a vocalist and learned how to play both the piano and percussions at a tender age. The youngster’s passion for music grew deeper in 2004 when he was in Grade 10. “I started feeding my passion in school. instead of taking notes, I was writing rhymes” said the 29 year old. He also managed to release his debut hip hop mixtape later. Following his long break off the music, Lesiba’s calling came back to haunt him and he has now offered a smash single called “Be Mine” under his own label. The song, which is currently on rotation on different radio stations, its a melodic romantic jam that explores real love in this era. “ It's a song for everyone who has great love and willing to share it unconditionally ” he says.
The Tshwane North-based dynamo’ sound offers insight into everything from relationship to topical issues. “I believe music must reflect real issues whether they are good or  bad. And ultimately music should be a catalyst to social cohesion.” as he explained. Though he hasn't hit it big as yet, he oozes appetite for success and with considerable determination. “I want my music to break boundaries, spread messages of  love, freedom and life uniquely. Not being boxed into a particular trending vibe” he added. It is quite evident in his other works that he has creatively and sensibly broken the music rules as he strives to create his own identity.
The Nrebele (North Ndebele) songstar has been in and out of the studio making more music for his upcoming EP dubbed Sounds of my tribe. On one song he features his stablemate T Time, a khelobedu afro soul hop musician. “The EP is to define me as a musician and a creative. I deliver 80 percent of my content in Nrebele. A language marginalized in showbiz generally”  he said. Sounds of my Tribe will be released digitally. Lesiba says working on a full project; he aspires to share a creative space with obeyed afro-jazz maestro Selaelo Selota, rapper Okmalumkoolkat & singer-rapper Saudi. He added all continental greats on the list.
The established businessman and musician say his talent has always kept him going. When he started understanding music and its purpose, Lesiba knew that he has found solace where he can speak his mind and tell stories in his own experience. He still has love for poetry and sketching though, his focus is now launching his brand bigger and better through offering relevant and groundbreaking music. He recommends people not to miss the Sounds of my Tribe digital release and tour to witness the greatest performances.
